DJ-Smirnoff-Ice!(aka Da Mixtape King!) is a DJ, Webmaster, Promotions Director and the Assistant Music Director at WODU Radio. He graduated from T.C. Williams High School in Virginia and now attends Old Dominion University. DJ-Smirnoff-Ice! plans to Double Major in Communications/Information Systems with a Masters Degree in Business Administration and Minor in Graphic Design.

Since the age of 6, he has had a passion for the Hip Hop and Rap Industry. Some of his favorite artists include Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Naz, Eminiem, T.I., 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Jadakiss and many others. His DJ-influences include, DJ Vlad, DJ Green Lantern, DJ Skee, DJ Drama, and DJ Whoo Kid.

DJ-Smirnoff-Ice! has interned with West-Coast Mixtape King DJ Vlad, and has worked with talented record producers and beat-makers. Not only is he experienced in Graphic Design, but he has had a taste of editing, cutting, blending, and chopping songs together. He also has collaborated with G-Unit/Interscope records--finding them highly talented producers and song writers. He also works for Atlantic Records & Def Jam Records as a college promoter.  Smirnoff is looking forward to setting a mark in the radio and hip hop industry by dropping mixtapes, producing beats, directing music videos, and collaborating with multi-talented artists who drastically want to re-define the world of Hip Hop.

Tune in to his show, Black-Ice-Radio! from 1-3p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays-- where he will be blazing the latest Hip Hop & R&B. He will also be informing his audiences about Old Dominion University events, and the Hip Hop community. Ashley, Kenny, and Ted have a Sports talk show Courtside from 12-3 pm on Fridays.  Ashley’s hometown is Beaverdam, Virginia. Kenny is from Glen Allen, Virginia. Ted is originally from North Carolina, who's been in the department for a year and is now the director. Ashley’s original purpose on Courtside as a guest host was to make fun of Ted Leverett mercilessly, which she still does today – just with more sports involved.  While Kenny wants a pet squirrel named Roger. 

Kenny has been at the radio station for three years and with the sports program for two and a half full-time. He also has been a co-anchor as well as the head of the sports department. 

Ashley has worked both as a DJ and as a tech in two previous college radio stations: WWRM at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College (Lynchburg, VA), as well as WVWC at Virginia Wesleyan College (Virginia Beach, VA).

A native from Northern Virginia, DJ Bbass provides fun and excitement on his radio show called "Happy Hour". He's all in fun and games, but gets real serious when it's time to be fo' real. He plays the HOTTEST!!! FRESHEST!!! R&B tracks. Also, CLASSIC R&B. He is one of my favorite DJ's because he is real and say what's on his mind, but keeps it clear if you know what I mean. He will occasionally have guests come by the station and drop by. You never know who may come by so DON'T MISS OUT!!! THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE SHOW. "HAPPY HOUR." Every Monday and Wednesday from 12-2pm.

DJ B-Bass has loved music since as long as he could remember. A radio personality/singer he discovered he had many talents. He decided to further his dream by pursuing both fields. That is why he now attends Old Dominion University, a university of plenty opportunity. He plans to Major in Communication and have a minor in music.

DJ Quixotic is a native to Chicago, IL and was transplanted to the middle of no where in TN were she first was introduced to mass communications in high school. She has experience working for a local oldies station WCDT (AM 1340) in Winchester, TN. From there she made a detour and served 6 years in the Navy. Now she is here at ODU perusing a degree in communications.

Her show Prozac Nation brings a new twist to WODU Radio with her show focused on playing the best in alternative rock music. In the segment called Ritalin Rewind she plays back the top 10 hits of the week and is also working on incorporating a local artist segment into her show.

Having worked with the likes of  God Child,  Hamzaa, Queen Sheeba, and 13 at Oya Exclusive, Eris can now be seen at some of your local and national venues ripping the mic with metaphors. Now Da’Poet is giving much word at WODU radio and keeping it light, upbeat, and smooth as you ease into your Saturday!  Old school soul to New School soul, its all about the Neo Soul and now you can hear those rips, guest poets, all your favorite Neo Soul artists and eclectic hip-hop on the Neo Soul Lounge from 5pm – 7pm.
